Linkwood 19 Year Old Cask Strength Tequila Edition – DS Tayman is a highly limited single cask Speyside single malt, combining Linkwood's elegant, fruit-forward character with the distinctive influence of a Tequila cask finish. Initially matured in a hogshead before being finished in a Tequila barrel, this 19-year-old expression was bottled at a powerful cask strength of 55.6% ABV, with an outturn of just 255 bottles.
The Tequila cask brings a fresh twist to Linkwood's naturally fruity style, with ripe orchard fruits, greengages and pears complemented by buttery pastry, caramelised apple and a delicate touch of agave. Rich yet beautifully balanced, the whisky develops a lingering sweetness on the finish, with creamy pastry notes and a subtle Tequila cask influence.
